Soon after his 30th birthday, Chris found himself finished with grad school, settled into a successful military career, and longing for children of his own.
Always an independent thinker, Chris began to explore what single parenthood by choice would look like. He spent a year as a foster parent, researched the adoption process, and explored surrogacy. As a single male, he decided on the surrogacy route in order to fulfill his life-long goal of being a parent.
Less than 2 years later, Chris was the proud father of two precious twin daughters - Sophia and Ryan. He soon realized that companies – everyone from surrogacy centers to online communities to recruiters – were eager to reach both the LGBTQ parent community and the military community, but lacked efficient, highly targeted channels to connect with these audiences. And so Armijo Consulting was born.
